Description

Pokemon Elastic Emerald is a romhack that gives the player monotype options, and it’s a game driven towards utilizing the game mechanics of Pokemon. Pokemon have been given buffs, but most buffs tend to be quite tame.

  • Replaced the following trainer moves: Youngster James’ Impidimp’s Draining Kiss with Confusion (and accordingly, gave Impidimp Confusion as an egg move); Cooltrainer Aurelio’s Clefairy’s Charge Beam with Echoed Voice; Collector Darren’s Jigglypuff’s Skull Bash with Secret Power.
  • Added some items to the player’s starting PC: added 12 Serious Mints, 2 Persim berries, and raised the count of Plain bottle caps to 24.
  • Changed the Route 104 White Herb florist to appear after 1 badge instead of 3.
  • Added a new option at the start of the game for a Tiered System.
  • Programatically increased the level of Cindy rematches based on badges.
  • Implemented Anticipation buff for a Solid Rock-like damage reduction that interacts better with Quad-effectives.
  • Improved bite chances for Old and Good rod, and made the minigame of fish getting way more lenient.
  • Changed Rustboro City trade to only happen in non-monotype. For Monotypes, changed the NPC to only have ordinary dialogue.
  • Fixed bug with Rival blocking the door to their house after getting the starter from Birch.
  • Added Astral Charge (+1 Sp.Atk when hit by Psychic and Fairy moves).
  • Converted trade item evolutions into use-item evolutions (akin to Stones). Added progression guards for Stone-like evolutions in Restricted Mode, and a special PartyMenu message for evolution items that are compatible but “Not Ready” (i.e. doesn’t meet Restricted Mode level requirements for evolution).
  • Added AI logic for applying simulated stat changes when factoring moves such as Coaching.
  • Made Water Sport, Mud Sport, and Mist priority moves.
  • Implemented Metal Rush, a Steel-type move with a bonus effect depending on the user’s weight.
  • AI can now pre-calculate Tera damage defensively, rather than just offensively.
  • Add Dedicated — ability that extends the duration of field moves.
  • Added Delibird’s Signature Ability Merry.
  • Made overworld Sweet Scent have a 50% chance to cause a double battle until leaving the area.
  • Implemented Illuminate Redirection.
  • Resolved issue with hidden STAB moves no longer being calculated, likely due to some structural change from an expansion merge.
  • Fixed bug with Tech tutor depleting the number of remaining Center Move Tutor counter (in Resource Mode).

  • Double Battle AI adjustments: more robust targeting under KOs, and AI mon places bias on number of hits to kill between two player targets.
  • Illuminate now causes “Illuminating” moves to apply the Follow Me effect on the user.

  • Swapped Venonat trainer’s Zoom Lens for Wide Lens
  • Removed some text that wasn’t supposed to be there for Level Cap info inside the Truck at the beginning of the game.
  • Did a big merge with Pokeemerald-expansion, which could potentially cause unknown regression issues (none identified so far).
