Pokemon Colors follows a single premise – what if the types of each Pokémon were determined by their colors? Every single Pokémon has gone through changes in their typings based on their LeafGreen sprite. Every Movepool and sometimes Abilities have been changed to better reflect each Pokémon’s new, changed type.
In addition, the game features the physical-special split and vastly changed Pokémon, Encounters, and Trainers, making Colors a new and unique Pokémon experience. Quite a few NPCs in the game were also given new, fun dialogue to make the world of Pokémon Colors more lively than before.
Features
- Every single Pokémon has gone through changes in their typings based on their LeafGreen sprite.
- Every Movepool and sometimes Abilities have been changed to better reflect each Pokémon’s new, changed type.
- Physical/Special Split
- vastly changed Pokémon, Encounters, and Trainers, making Colors a new and unique Pokémon experience.
- Quite a few NPCs in the game were also given new, fun dialogue to make the world of Pokémon Colors more lively than before.
- Every trainer fight has also been reworked to include the Pokémon of Generations 2 and 3, as well as making boss teams more challenging and providing new variety in their mon usage. All in all, Pokémon Colors seeks to provide more challenging and interesting fights with plenty of variety.
- The game is intended to be something both more casual and more difficulty-seeking players will be able to enjoy. Pokémon Colors features extensive documentation of Pokémon changes, encounter tables as well as full documentation of each trainer battle, regardless of route trainer or boss. For players interested in nuzlocking Colors there is a calculator for the game featuring every trainer in Colors (there are some things to consider but for that we have a usage guide in the Google Drive to help).
- A lot of Pokémon have also received some stat buffs in addition to their other changes to make them a bit better in comparison to other mons or to make them fit more with their typing. The game is also balanced around those type changes to make sure no Pokémon ends up being overpowered.
