Changelog

V1.7.5

  • Adds Dowsing Machine instead of Itemfinder. I think it’s easier to use. The graphics can be improved but I’m no sprite artist. Credits to upstream for fixing the item.
  • Fixes the Move Relearner from Fuchsia
  • Adds an NPC to tell your Pokémon’s Hidden Power (inside the Pokémon Trainer Fan Club in Saffron)
  • Adds an NPC to teach Egg Moves (Research Room in Cinnabar’s Lab)
  • Clear Amulet can now be obtained (Celadon Hotel)
  • Changes the word “Immune” to “x0” at the Move Description Window, as Immune was too big for that screen (and I was not in the mood to make pixel adjustments again)
  • Pokémon that uses Mint will now have their current Nature displayed on the Summary Screen

V1.7

  • Fixed strings related to Coins.
  • Fixed several move descriptions in the battle menu.
  • Replaced X Items with other items, as battle items cannot be used in battle.
  • Black Augurite can no longer be sold.
  • Added day/night cycles to the Celadon Condominiums and Celadon Dept. Store rooftops.
  • Added the Clear Amulet to the game — check Celadon.
  • Slightly buffed Giovanni’s Celadon team.
  • Reviewed trainers’ party to reduce the number of Pokémon with delayed evolutions and minimize excessively repetitive teams.

V1.6.1

  • Upstream added the Battle Frontier to FireRed. I’m currently playing through it to see exactly when it becomes accessible and what I can do with that information. In the meantime, I already changed the prizes to better fit what WaveBlue offers (while also providing alternatives to Celadon’s Game Corner) and fixed some strings.
  • I found some strings written in FULL CAPS, so I made a script to check for them and ended up finding many more. Because of that, I made additional adjustments to better fulfill my decapitalization goal.
  • I decided to remove every reference to multiplayer from the game, since it cannot actually be accessed. Several NPC dialogues were altered to reflect this, and I removed the second floor from every Pokémon Center entirely.
  • I added an NPC in Cerulean who sells herbs and EV-reducing berries. This is meant to help players who want finer EV adjustments (which cannot be done with the NPC in Lavender, who completely resets a stat’s EVs), as well as make it easier to reach higher Happiness levels.
  • Also in Cerulean, you can find an NPC who gives hints about WaveBlue’s non-mechanical features.
  • Added two more Bottle Caps to the game.
  • Added some items that were previously exclusive to Celadon’s Game Corner to the Trainer Tower as well.
