Description

Pokemon Special Silver Quest is a hack of Pokémon Silver for Game Boy Color. It’s a corrected and final version of a previous hack I’ve made long ago, which needed to be corrected and renamed… The story dates some years later than the original adventure of GSC. You’re in an “alternate” Kanto-Johto region where several things have changed over the years! You start in Viridian City, in Kanto. You have to do several quests in order to progress, like finding a certain item in a place! Many changes, and A LOT, have been made compared to the original Pokémon Silver game.

Features

• The starters are different: Consisting of Mewtwo, Mew and Celebi. They’ve been cloned by researchers, and you’ll learn their story later in the game…
• Pokémon movesets have been upgraded, with many adjustments (to prevent Pokémon to be walled completely) and moves from egg moves or future generations up to Gen 8.
• Up to 16 Pokémon In-Game trades.
• The Gyms and the order you visit cities are in a very different order.
• The difficulty of Gyms has been reviewed, and some have more Pokémon. Also, the Pokémon have hold items as well!
• All TM compatibilities are up to date with 8th Generation! (However, attacks (Power, PP, Acc.) are still the same as Gen 2).
• Many TMs have changed! There are 31 new TMs in all, which includes Dig as an HM instead of a TM (Always useful)!
• Your rival has a more supportive attitude towards you. Don’t compare him to Silver, the original one, even if their look are almost the same…
• Some towers and caves have been rebuilt, like the Sprout Tower, Tin Tower or Mt.Mortar, in order to have a different experience, and quite harder too.
• Many new wild areas to explore in Johto and Kanto, including new villages, plazas, routes, caves or buildings. Some areas which existed before, such as Viridian Forest, Safari Zone, Cerulean Cave, Celadon TR Hideout, Seafoam Islands or Silph CO, are now fully present and open in the game too.
• Some new Gyms are also in the game, each run by the old Elite Four. They don’t give badges, but give you something else to progress in your quest.
• Some new battle facilities are present in the game, such as the Battle Plaza in Johto and the Fight Plaza in Kanto. Rematches are possible!
• The Pokémon League Challenge is entirely different: You can choose the order in which you battle the new Elite Four to access to the new Champion (just like Gen 5 games), instead of having each one in an imposed order…
• Some routes have been improved as well!
• Wild Pokémon changed and stronger in many places!
• Trainer’s Pokémon and/or levels have all been adjusted!
• Some new trainers have been added as well!
• PokéGear trainers have all been changed! Most of them are Gym Leaders or elite trainers, and have always the same team when you rematch them. You can also call them yourself to have a rematch, instead of always waiting for them to call you…
• Most berry trees now bear apricorns, like in Soul Silver (Gen 4). Apricorns are useful for some item trading.
• Many Item traders, name raters, move deleters or friendship boosters have been added in the game. They can always be useful!
• Game Corner prizes have been changed, and new ones have been added too!
• Some adjustments have been made regarding marts and the items they sell. Some new clerks are also in the game as well!
• Item prices have been adjusted as well!
• Most of the dialogs have been fully updated and corrected!
• The story is totally different, it’s a special silver quest for you to discover and savor!
