Description

Pokemon Project Pi is a complete rebalance hack built around an entirely new Pokédex. It features 175 Pokémon, all obtainable in a single playthrough, alongside numerous quality-of-life improvements and graphical enhancements. One of the project’s main goals was to integrate newer Pokémon into Kanto as naturally as possible, creating an experience that feels faithful to the original FireRed while offering a fresh adventure.

The game is complete through the Elite Four and includes an additional post-game event. Project: Pi is not intended to be a difficult hack. Instead, the focus is on creating a balanced and consistently fair experience through improved level progression, better encounter design, and badge-based level caps.

Nuzlocke Mode

Project: Pi features a built-in Nuzlocke mode that can be activated via the game console in your room before obtaining the Pokédex. (I will be honest, this mode can feel very hard and unfair)

The following are the rules,

  • Only the first Pokémon encountered in each area may be caught.
  • Dupes Clause is in effect. No catching Pokémon from lines you’ve already caught.
  • If your first encounter is a Dupe, you may instead catch the first Non-Dupe you encounter.
  • Shiny Pokémon can always be caught.
  • Gift, Trade, and Event Pokémon do not count as encounters.
  • Fainted Pokémon can’t be revived.
  • A whiteout will send you back home and Disable Nuzlocke Mode. This ends your Nuzlocke Challenge. You may continue your adventure normally. No progress is lost.

Trainer Card Star Requirements

  • Beat the Pokémon League.
  • Complete the Pokedex.
  • Beat the Pokémon League in Nuzlocke mode.

It should be noted that you can get all three stars even in Nuzlocke mode, as the challenge ends at Pokémon League and you can complete the Pokédex afterwards.
