Description

Play through the Gen 1 Pokémon game with Eevee by your side! Eevee will follow you around and battle with you; and you can even teach it special moves that no other pokémon can learn! Don’t feel like playing with Eevee? Try out over 20 pokémon with new and different typings! This is a fork of Pokemon Yellow Legacy led by TheSmithPlays.

Features

  • Pikachu and Eevee have completely swapped places! This means:
    • Your Rival now starts with Pikachu. He has altered teams because of this!
      • Raichu also got a significant stat buff to better suit it as his ace.
    • Pikachu is now the gift pokémon on Celadon Mansion’s roof. It can also evolve again!
    • Lt. Surge uses a Jolteon instead of a Raichu.
    • Wild Pikachu can be found on Route 23. Furthermore, all eeveelutions can be found in the wild.
      • Jolteon at the Power Plant, Vaporeon by fishing in Seafoam Islands, Flareon at Cinnabar Mansion
    • Eevee is now your starter! Complete with a following sprite, emotion portraits, and unique cries!
      • Eevee also can’t evolve, but gets doubled the badge boosts and access to every HM like Pikachu did in YL!
    • The title screen and intro animation now show Eevee on them.
    • The SGB border also has Eevee on it!
    • In the surfing minigame, you now play as Eevee!
  • Move tutors have been added to Cerulean City, Celadon City, and Fuchsia City. They teach special moves only Eevee can learn!
  • The Dark, Steel, and Fairy types have been added! They follow the modern type chart, but pre-existing type matchups have not been changed.
    • A handful of new moves of these types have been added as well
  • To fill out the new types and add variety, some Pokémon got type changes! There is an optional patch that has no type changes, but it’s recommended you play with these changes!
  • The TM for Horn Drill has been replaced with Iron Tail. Every pokémon who learns the move in Gen 2 can learn it!
  • In-game flashing has been heavily reduced for photosensitive people.
