Backyard Sports: Baseball 2007 (also known as Backyard Baseball 2007) is the fifth major iteration of the Backyard Baseball series. Released in 2006, this is the first game of the later Atari era to feature brand new characters (Joey MacAdoo, Arthur Chen, and Samantha Pearce) while some of the classic characters are no longer present. This is also one of the few games (along with Backyard Sports Basketball 2007 and the Nintendo DS version of Backyard Hockey) not to feature Sunny Day, replacing her with an unnamed and unseen character.

This game is available for the PC, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and the PlayStation 2. The cover athlete for this game is Albert Pujols who takes over the role from Alex Rodriguez who was the cover athlete from 2003 (Backyard Baseball – Gamecube) to 2005 (Backyard Baseball 2006 – Game Boy Advance). The grounder option is gone; batters can only choose power, line drive, or bunting left or right. The PC version marks the short-lived return of the outfield view from the SCUMM-era games.
