Description

Princess Peach is hosting a game for everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom to play! The first person to get all 8 Power Stars from the various worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom will be granted a wish! Just make sure you get there before Bowser! A simple and silly adventure, Mariomon’s story mostly focuses on the conflict from Bowser trying to get the 8 Power Stars before you. Otherwise, it’s a pretty free form adventure where you’re just trying to have fun in the game the Princess and Professor E. Gadd are hosting!

Experience an entirely fleshed out region – the Mushroom Kingdom! A fusion of Pokemon and Mario, Super Mariomon is Too Many Production’s most ambitious project yet!

Gameplay

Forget your standard platforming fare. “Super Mariomon” takes the familiar elements of the Mario universe and injects them with a strategic twist. Imagine engaging in turn-based battles with your favorite Mario characters, each wielding unique abilities and stats. You’ll navigate familiar levels, but instead of simply jumping on Goombas, you’ll be strategizing your next move, considering type advantages and item combinations.

The game masterfully blends the platforming charm of Mario with the strategic depth of Pokémon battles, creating a truly unique experience. Alpharad’s streams have been a testament to the game’s unpredictable nature, demonstrating how item-fueled mayhem and random events can turn the tide of battle in an instant. It’s a delightful mix of skill and sheer, glorious luck.

  • Bowser now properly banned from Glitz Pit
  • Added a move animation for Chilling Water
  • Added a check to Hammer Bro that changes a Choice Item’s Hammer Throw to the correct move when weather changes.
  • Being hit by the normal bill blaster on the left side of World 2-2 will no longer result in a shiny Bullet Bill
  • You can no longer press the B button to escape the new trainers in the Casino when they are asking you if you want to gamble or battle
  • Added more checks for unfreezing NPCs to avoid scenarios where talking to them crashes the game
  • Wild captures in the Pit no longer attempt to randomize if you are playing with the wild encounter randomizer.
  • When evolving Koopa Troopa to Dry Bones, the game copies Paratroopa’s moves to Dry Bones.
    • This means in certain scenarios, Dry Bones could gain illegal moves (mainly shell smash and extreme speed)
    • The game now checks for these and replaces them with tackle.
  • The game now properly checks the last capture you enter in the Glitz Pit to see if it has any banned items and prevents them from entering if so
  • If playing with randomized starters on, Luigi will now give you whatever his final starter evolution was after beating the game instead of a normal starter
  • The game now sets Luigi’s randomized starter to be a Piranha Plant on game start as a failsafe in order to avoid scenarios where Luigi sends out an invalid Capture in certain combinations of randomizer settings
  • This is also fixed on a more fundamental level later on and is really just a failsafe now
  • When fighting Luigi in a randomizer, if starter capture randomization is off, Luigi will no longer send out an invalid ?????? capture and instead properly randomize it on the spot to a valid capture
  • Fixed a scenario where the Battle Facotry’s streak wasn’t tracked/set properly
  • The back of your trainer card will no longer attempt to display how many link battles you have won in the event you have done some. This would cause the stat to overlap with another one.
  • Removed some left over instances of text displaying Pokémon instead of Captures
  • Changed the text that is displayed when you try to use a key item so it fits the text box properly.
  • Increased the price of the Employee cap from 20 to 200 coins
  • Fixed remaining instances of Alaina’s name being wrong
  • Fixed an issue that would cause Captain Toad’s party to not heal properly and/or get zero’d out after losing a multi battle with him & Mario (Kongs blocking the exit to 5-1, etc)
  • When accessing the PC from Captain Toad’s party via the “Inspect Party” option, the game will no longer return to Mario’s party rather than Captain Toad’s upon exiting the PC.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause Captain Toad to occupy the same tile as mario after inspecting his party or viewing his bag while he is following you.
  • Broozer now properly loses Unburden for Anger Point
  • Brolder and Boss Brolder now properly get access to Stealth Rock
  • Added a new trigger to the Casino when taking the conveyor belt into the Blue Zone that will spawn in the distracted NPCs in the event that they somehow got broken before this.
  • Talking to invisible distracted NPCs in the Casino will force them to respawn.
    • These fixes may result in these NPCs flickering from time to time when a check is called.
  • Fixed several tile errors related to the color of the floor underneath some sprites in the Casino
    • These changes will not show properly until you have exited and reentered the Casino.
  • Your escape rope location will now update to be the Comet Observatory when leaving Shiny Galaxy
  • Fever and Weird Virus now have the correct Dex number on the Capture Summary Screen
  • Losing to Paraplonk and Goomp on 5-2 when starting the battle as Captain Toad will now function properly
  • Fixed some collision in the house in the Banana Temple
  • You can no longer use the Warp Pipe to leave the Elite Four chambers of Toadsworth and Kamek
  • Ukiki now properly loses Will-O-Wisp in exchange for gaining Charm

V1.5.1

  • Fixed whiting out in World 5 being broken and causing unintended behavior with Captain Toad after losing to multi-battles
  • If Captain Toad detects an invalid party and loads his back up, there is now another check to make sure his backup wasn’t broken. If it was, that party will be deleted and he will be reset to his world start state with a level 35 Hammer Bro and the backup will be fixed.
    • The above situation should only happen if you had a save file that got effected by the white out bug.
  • Bowser now gets Raging Fury instead of Burn Up
  • Bowser now gets Hammer Throw
  • Obtaining the Yoshi Lover Quest now unlocks the Quest Menu if you haven’t already unlocked it.
  • Honey’s item description no longer mentions Pokemon
  • The Yoshi line now properly gets Dragon Cheer
  • Rex now properly gets Dragon Cheer
  • Fixed Sweet Scent Chaining overflowing and resetting to 0 after 256 encounters

  • Added a failsafe for #151 never dying in battles even after the boss fight, heal at the nearest Capture Center for it to apply,
  • Allow the player to obtain the Music Player item even if they have completed the dev multi battle by talking to Kobe
