The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree ROM

The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree is a video game for the Game Boy Advance system developed by Program-Ace and published by Namco. It was released in North America on September 20, 2005 and is based on the book of the same name. Brother, Sister, and Fred all head out to the woods to explore a scary house.

While doing so, a thunderstorm moves in and forces the cubs to take shelter inside a tree. Unfortunately for the cubs, the inside of the spooky tree is festooned with bats, spiders, and crocodiles. Brother, Sister, and Fred work together to get out of the spooky tree. The player controls Brother, Sister, and Cousin Fred, all three of whom have their own abilities.

Brother can push boxes and attacks with a slingshot, Sister has a far jumping range and attacks with a stick, and Fred can use his lasso to latch onto nearby hooks and attacks by throwing objects. To switch between the cubs, the player must press the L or R Button. The bats, crocodiles, and spiders can be attacked when the player presses the B Button.

At the end of each level, the player will receive a password that they can input so they can continue where they left off after they are done playing. In the levels, there are honeypots and pieces of candy that the player can collect, both of which award an extra life if 10 honeypots and 100 pieces of candy are collected. Additionally, there are fireflies that restore the cubs’ health in the event they take damage.
