Classic NES Series - Castlevania ROM

classic nes series castlevania rom
When focusing on the main objectives, Castlevania is about 3 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 5½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.
They are designed to challenge you in as many ways as possible, and they are grueling. In a Nintendo Hard game, you’ll have little health, every enemy does tons of damage, you’ll have few checkpoints or opportunities to heal, there will be Spikes of Doom and Bottomless Pits everywhere. The only way to get through will be to memorize what’s coming and practice it over and over and over again. And you’ll have limited lives before you’re kicked all the way to the beginning of the level.
The first form of the boss is vulnerable only in the head, except for a very difficult-to-perform glitch. The second and final form of the boss is vulnerable in both the head and the body, but striking the head reduces its HP bar much faster.

Reaching for the monster's head is far more difficult than attacking the body. This is a difficult final boss fight for a difficult game-- a very fitting finale.

You need to download and install Visual Boy Advance and then load the rom.

Additional Information

Castlevania, known in Japan as Akumajō Dracula, is a platform game developed and published by Konami for the Family Computer Disk System video game console in Japan in September 1986. It was ported to cartridge format and released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in May 1987 and in Europe in 1988. It was also re-issued for the Family Computer in cartridge format in 1993. It is the first game in Konami’s Castlevania video game series.

Players control Simon Belmont, descendant of a legendary vampire hunter, who enters the castle of Count Dracula to destroy him when he suddenly reappears 100 years after Simon’s ancestor vanquished him. Castlevania was developed in tandem with the MSX2 game Vampire Killer, which was released a month later and uses the same characters and setting, but features different gameplay mechanics. It was followed by a sequel, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, and a prequel, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, both of which were also released for the NES. Super Castlevania IV was released in 1991 for the Super NES and follows the same story. A remake for the Sharp X68000 home computer was re-released for the PlayStation as Castlevania Chronicles in 2001.

The Classic NES Series is a line of Game Boy Advance games which were released to celebrate Nintendo’s history, featuring a collection of classic and iconic games from diverse franchises that helped define the company during its golden era (1980s), these mainly being titles from Nintendo’s initial “black box” era, although it also contained selected games from other franchises, such as Capcom, Konami, Hudson Soft and Namco. The box art of these games were reminiscent of early style NES boxes.
