Description

A long time ago, the remote continent of Amasea was ruled by fearsome warlords. The divine saw no choice but to intervene and so put an end to the warlords’ tyranny. However, crypts of said warlords still remain scattered throughout Amasea. A collector of rare items and artifacts, Grismond, intends to add one of the warlords’ weapons – Eligor’s Spear, to his collection.

This task falls on a trio of thieves: Skylar, Avanni, and Camian. Little did they know that obtaining the Spear was the easy part. And, depending on your route of choice, in doing so, they unknowingly put into motion a cataclysmic chain of events where history repeats itself and the line between old legends and reality begins to blur. Amasea’s safety is threatened once more, but not everything is what it seems…

Or:

Faced with the chance to take fate into their own hands, the thieves attempt to steal this ancient artifact and use it for their own purposes. Now they must assemble allies against their former employer turned foe. Who will get to claim Eligor’s Spear, and who will perish?

Features

  • 47 Chapters in total (4 pre-route split chapters, 19 in Grismond route, 17 in Runaway route, 7 postgame maps)
  • Maps with varying objectives and gimmicks
  • Route split with both routes having their own unique characters – except for few
  • Quality of life features such as viewable growths, visible combat stats, even when
animations are off, and the ability to Talk and Support without ending the turn
  • Multiple difficulty settings, each with its own changes and differences that
alter the gameplay experience more holistically/ as a whole
  • Split promotions for unit variety
  • Enemy variety even within the same class
  • Increased Weapon Triangle effectiveness from ± 15 hit to ± 30 hit to incentivize proactivity
  • Bows that have Weapon Triangle Advantage against all three magic types
  • Traversable world map providing means to resupply,
so don’t fret if you forgot to do shopping during the map!
  • Hand Axes and Javelins that you can never double attack with

Postgame

  • Postgame content is available to all those who have completed the main story in either route.
  • Enter Warlord Lairs on the world map to access this content.
  • Postgame maps consist of a hub area and challenge maps where you get to fight superbosses.
  • You can stock up on supplies as well as level up your units, remove supports, and change your difficulty setting in the hub area. Both the hub map and challenge maps can be entered/played more than once.
  • However, you’ll get cutscenes only for the first time and if you haven’t beaten any challenge map yet.
  • You’ll receive a warlord’s weapon as a reward upon each clear of their map.
  • Do keep in mind that dead units are not revived here, and units that die in postgame maps will remain dead if Casual Mode (Now called Revival mode) is not on.

Known Bugs

  • Destination flag appears on one location only, even when there’s more than one destination. Note: The other destination is still accessible.
  • Sometimes an incorrect chapter name appears when you have cleared a map. Solution: Save your game while you’re on the World Map.
  • Some of the longer names can cause minor graphical errors/do not display correctly 100% of the time.
  • Castle Frelia cutscene replacement displays an unnecessary location. Note: This is due to how I believe the event is hardcoded: “Castle Frelia” has to be evented, even when you’re not going there.
  • Some map sprites become glitchy in the Support Conversation viewer. Note: This is a visual glitch only.
  • Some spell animations may cause the growth display page of the stat screen to show, and once stats screen is changed back, there is a minor visual glitch with BWL data. Note: This is a visual glitch only, can be removed by checking enemy stats.
  • Negative stat boosts are not displayed correctly in the stats screen. Note: This is a visual error, the boosts are applied correctly in battle and in the minimug box on the top left of the screen.
  • Some status buffs do not have an icon or description. Note: They are still applied properly, see the minimug box.

  • Added rest of the supports, character endings and guide entries
  • Increased the rate at which some supports are built
  • Added a little tutorial text blurb at the beginning of the game

  • The skill Great Shield has been removed

  • Decreased the boost Thrones give to Resistance from +5 to +3
  • Avanni and Camian have convoy access in all chapters: hopefully this will encourage you to split the main lords in different groups and have them build supports with others than between themselves
  • In ch8x Those Who Wander, Vasara getting healed in his recruitment is now actually shown
  • Grastus recruitment conditions/conditions for unlocking Gaiden: The Unforgiven have been slightly altered
  • Kirstelle → Kirstel

  • Another character has had changes to their base stats
  • Skylar has 9 con regardless of which class he was promoted to
  • Playable Grismond has had his Anima and Light magic ranks increased from C to B, allowing him to use siege tomes at base

V3.3

  • Many support conversations were added.
  • Growth rate changes: Travond, Grastus, Renaida, Nestor, Ivan, Grelde all have had adjustments to their growth rates. Additionally, units who join as base class units no longer have a total growth rate below 300. So in case of Renaida, Nestor, Grelde and Ivan, their growths got buffed.
  • Travond’s Con was increased from 11 to 13, and Agnessa’s Con was increased from 9 to 10. Not only is it now consistent with her enemy counterpart, but it didn’t dawn on me until recently how dumb it is that she lost attack speed from her Silver Lance.
  • Fixed several typos, and probably made new ones. Updated some bits of dialogue here and there.
  • Made some changes to Ch11x Rest of the Wicked:
    • Changed the Game Over condition from Agnessa, Francis, Grismond and Leanrith to just Grismond and Leanrith
    • Changes were made to the enemies that appear at the very top, making the map overall more smoother
    • Fixed a bug where Belphoebe could recruit Trinon without an Elixir
  • Fixed an issue in Francis’ version of 12x Even Towards Death where he would charge immediately.
  • Changed the chapter objective descriptions for ch15x Dark Sun’s Solstice and Final I of the second route, as well as item descriptions for some of the enemy-exclusive weapons.
  • Decreased the number of Stone and Shadowshot in ch7x, peppered in some Cobalt Eye, and now Isla no longer immediately faces weapon triangle disadvantage on Normal mode if she wasn’t recruited right as she appears.
  • Banshee and Dullahan are no longer postgame exclusive foes;
    • Banshee start appearing around midway through in both routes, Dullahan appear sparingly towards the end. However, the Dullahan still have their actual gimmick in postgame only.
  • Also, player units now move with the boat in ch2 To Catch a Thief.
