Kong – The 8th Wonder of the World, known as Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie in PAL regions, is an action/adventure video game developed by Ubisoft for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, and a tie-in for the 2005 King Kong remake. After a day of traveling through thick fog, the crew of the Venture spies Skull Mountain, signifying that they have reached their destination.
Carl Denham, Jack Driscoll, and Ann Darrow go ashore where they are attacked in a cave by a Giant crab before moving toward a ceremony being performed in a native village. Carl tries to film them, but they are spotted and come into the open before a warrior seems to request Ann, and the three retreat. Unable to sleep, Ann goes to speak to Jack on deck about her fears of returning to the island before she is kidnapped by two warriors. Jack and Carl head ashore and hear her scream behind an enormous wall.
Deep in the jungle, Kong fights through orange Vematosaurus and stampeding green Ferrucutus before arriving at the gate and grabbing Ann. The gameplay takes two primary forms: the first involves the player controlling Carl Denham, Jack Driscoll and Ann Darrow from a top-down view, while the second is a sidescrolling beat-em-up where the player controls Kong.
