Description

Pokemon Outlaw was really stupid. It can be really funny, depending on your sense of humor, but I was a rookie who was just messing around. Pokemon CAWPS was also stupid, but had some cool moments. Pokemon Korosu was more serious, but maybe it was too dark at times and touched some really sensitive subjects(Taken meets Kill Bill when you really think about it).

Pokemon Savage Silver will try to be more balanced: some dark violence, some stupid moments, some attempts at being epic/cool, etc. Pokemon Savage Silver is the story of a familiar-looking red-headed young man who is the son of Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket. The relationship between this young man and his father/Team Rocket has soured, and he is disowned by his father. He is left to fend for himself, with almost no resources, in a dangerous world. This young man(known as the rival from G/S/C/HG/SS games) is no typical kind-hearted protagonist. He’s no angel. He’s not above lying, stealing, and even killing to survive.

Throughout his journey, he fights many enemies and becomes known to the police as a brutal criminal. He also picks up some crucial allies, many of them criminals themselves. The region where this game takes place is the beloved(at least in my mind) Johto region. But of course, this isn’t the Johto you remember from the canon games. The region has been rocked by savage criminals and an aggressive police force. Of course, the contents of this game may be a little more “mature”(or immature). So, I’d have to caution against young children playing it. ESRB would probably rate it as “T” or perhaps even “M”.

Features

• Physical/Special/Status Split, BW2 repels, deletable HM’s, running shoes indoors, and right away, and fixed that stupid trainer facing thing that FR does.
• Some Gen 4-6 Pokemon, I’ll reveal which ones later… (I chose these Pokemon before Gen 7 came out and don’t feel like adding any Gen 7 Pokemon. If you want to use Gen 7 Pokemon, a certain game just came out a month ago…). Besides that, the game will mostly have Gen 2 and Gen 1 Pokémon, considering it takes place in Johto.
• Some Gen 4-6 moves added. I might make a list later. Or not.
• Side quests that you can do that are independent of the main story(more of a planned feature)
• A very different story for a Pokemon game, which is a given for one of my hacks. There will be gyms to defeat, but it’ll be secondary to the story.
• Pokemon Tournament from Korosu will be back. (Of course, it will have different trainers/match-ups. Perhaps it’ll have even more random matchups, so you’ll fight some different battles each time you challenge it. But that’s just what’s planned anyway.)
• Trade evolutions are now stone evolutions, usually moon stone. Also, there’s an ice stone for some ice evos(Eevee and Sneasel).
• Wanna guess if there’s fishing or not? (Hint: Look at every hack I’ve made so far).
• It’s got some HG/SS music. Not 100% but a good amount of it. It also may or may not be a little buggy at some points.

Known Bugs

• You can’t talk to the sign on the route right of New Bark Town (Crizzle: That’ll eventually be addressed. I just haven’t touched Route 27 yet)
• If you lose to the thug in the house with Dareus, the game crashes when a police officer runs up to you after leaving the Pokemon Center and going west right away(Crizzle: The game crashing with the Police officer isn’t related to losing to the thug with Dareus. There is supposed to be a random chance at a Police encounter in certain places but that has been buggy. I thought I fixed it but if it’s crashing for you I might still have some work to do on that. Thanks for pointing that out)
• Talking to the mart guy in the museum before the drug deal event crashes the game(Crizzle:Thanks. That guy shouldn’t be visible at that point. I’m an idiot.)
• The level cap for the Violet gym needs to be 20, not 16. Or at least do something like Clover, who had the police catch you at the league if you used cheats
• Get rid of Aerial Ace on Falkner’s Murkrow for something else. Or at least give him Pidgeotto back instead
• You can’t enter the patch of grass right above the Pokemon Center on Route 32
• After events where Silver isn’t in the middle of the screen, he stays there until you exit a room. Only seen in Cherrygrove City and Union Cave so far
• The prison puzzle is a little too complicated, but solvable(Do the crime, do the time!)
• There’s a lot of backtracking, maybe import a teleportation system like in Giratina Strikes Back?
• You can walk in one of the trees by the couple in Ilex Forest
• Riolu’s icon turns into a different color when learning a new move(I’m aware of this one and at a loss at fixing it tbh)
• If you explore the pokeathlon dome, you will will enter a room with no escape(Not developed yet)
• Talking to Kyrie in Goldenrod freezes the game(Not developed yet)
