Description

Pokemon Emerald Adventure (Not to be confused with the manga Pokemon Adventures) is a modern Pokemon Emerald romhack that my brother and I have worked on and off over the last couple of years. It is not a romhack with a singular purpose(such as a difficulty or quality of life romhack), but aims to provide the Pokemon experience that we would personally love to see in a modern remake of Pokemon Emerald.

More specifically, modern quality-of-life features, interesting battles, and lots of content that reward exploration and provide a sense of adventure. However lets not dwell on our personal motivation for creating the romhack. So without further ado lets get into some of the key features.

Features

Modern Pokemon

  • The romhack is updated with modern game mechanics going up all the way to Generation 9(based on Pokemon Emerald Expansion 1.9.4).
  • The pool of encounterable Pokemon has also been updated up until Generation 9, with the vast majority of the Pokedex included.
  • Various quality-of-life features have been added as well such as healing after battle(can be toggled), Pokemon followers, no need to teach HMs, accessible PC from the dexnav, and more.

More interesting battles

  • All trainer teams throughout the story and postgame have been modified, presenting more varied and more interesting strategies.
  • Naturally, this does make the fights more challenging for those who like that.
  • The Battle Frontier has been enhanced, so that Battle Factory doubles now uses 4 instead of 3 Pokemon
  • Pokemon as well as items have been updated to Generation 9.

Brand new content

  • Several new areas loosely based on the original map/concept art for the Hoenn region have been added, with new trainers, new events, and more!
  • Explore at night as well for more content and unique Pokemon encounters.
  • The postgame has also been expanded, rewarding you for visiting areas you have previously explored.

Known Issues

  • When moving between Pacifidlog Town and Round Island tiles/maps sometimes go out of sync
