  • Break rocks and other objects with your attacks.

  • Keep your team’s HP, PP, experience and saves.
  • Supported wild and single trainer battles use the arena automatically. Double, link and unsupported battles stay classic.

Changelog

V0.11

  • Protect blocks and dissolves the beam. It does not reflect it; Psychic is a separate attack.
  • Bag and party menus during combat, clearer HP/levels, caught indicators and XP notifications. Huge thanks to @MatheusLynar for playtesting.
  • In-battle evolution, healing and proper pauses, inspired by @shubshub11.
  • Temporary rain/flooding and conductive water, with ideas from @p_Itzo and @GajoeDraws.
  • Community arenas supplied by @Oswarlin3, adapted to the GBA. 151 animated Pokémon.

V0.10.2

  • 150 animated Pokémon, Poké Ball captures, trainer send-outs and supported single-trainer battles in five environments.
  • Moves interact with the arena: Psychic, Rock Throws, Water, Ice, Dig, Fly, Teleport, Seismic Toss, Double Team, Rollout, Substitute, Smokescreen, Reflect and Light Screen. Ghost types can phase through cover. This version also fixes sprite detail and a barrier rendering issue.
  • Still an experimental hobby project, not a fully rebalanced adventure. Double, link, and unsupported battles use classic combat.

V0.10.1

  • Fixes the blocky Lugia, Ho-Oh and Salamence sprites from 0.10.0.
  • They had been reduced by half during import, then enlarged again at runtime.
  • Salamence now retains original-resolution pixels. Lugia and Ho-Oh use much smaller reductions with tight transparent-margin registration, and no runtime enlargement. Original PMD sources and credits are unchanged.
  • The showcase has also been re-recorded with movement back into open space between attacks, instead of holding the player against an arena corner.
