Description

Emerald Battle Revolution is a Pokemon Emerald decompilation project which uses the PokeEmerald Expansion project as a base. The goal for this project is to create a sandbox for players to enjoy the incredible post-game content in Emerald such as the Battle Frontier and other facilities using new Pokemon and simple methods for obtaining properly trained, competitive Pokemon easily without the need for modifying save files.

I’ve also made a web-based program for helping you recreate EV spreads ingame – the EBR EV Spread Utility. Just paste a showdown export in, and it’ll generate a set of instructions for you.

Features

Sandbox Mode

When starting the game, you may choose to be transferred to the battle frontier with the story completed up to becoming the champion.

You will be given $300,000 to start the game, as well as a Swampert and Talonflame for using important HMs such as Fly, Surf, Waterfall, etc.

All TMs / HMs / Key Items can be purchased in the Battle Frontier Underground.

Modern Battle Factory Mode

Randomly generated sets of almost all new Pokemon are now available in the Battle Factory! Restricted legendaries can be selected and faced in the Open Level Battle Mode! All Mythicals except for Arceus and Deoxys can now be used in the Level 50 Battle Mode!

Modern Battle Frontier Mode

Randomly generated sets of almost all new Pokemon can be faced in all Battle Facilities, including the Battle Tents! Restricted legendaries can be selected and faced in the Open Level Battle Mode! All Mythicals except for Arceus and Deoxys can now be used in the Level 50 Battle Mode!

Modern Battle Mechanics

Almost all modern Pokemon, moves, items and mechanics have been implemented through the PokeEmerald Expansion Project! New mechanics and features are implemented by the community regularly! Test your teambuilding skills and make the strongest team you can!

Expanded Box and Party Menus

Check Pokemon IVs, EVs and more quickly and easily thanks to many interface quality-of-life improvements!

Battle Frontier Underground

The Battle Frontier Underground is a new underground shopping area in the Battle Frontier, which allows the players to buy pretty much anything you could need for making a competitive team. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Legendary Pokémon Shop (Purchase unobtainable legendaries for $12,000)

  • Legendary Forme-Changing Item Shop (Both Key Items and Held Items)

  • Pokémon Day Care, containing the following:

    • Pokémon Breeder (Purchase any level 1 first evolution for $4,000)
    • Evolution Item Shop
  • PokeDrugs Shop (Feathers/Drugs, Ability Changers, PP Up/Max, Bottle Cap)

Battle

  • Return / Frustration Power in Summary Menu
  • Correct Hidden Power Type in Summary Menu / Battle Menu
  • EV Feathers give 4 EVs per use, Drugs/Mochis give 28 EVs
  • EV decreasing berries reduce by 28 evs
  • IV increasing/decreasing berries added for all types
  • Bottle Cap can be used on a Pokémon to max out all IVs
  • EVs/IVs are now displayed in Summary Menu Stats Page
    • Click Left Bumper to see EVs, Right Bumper to see IVs
    • Click Start Button to return to regular stats menu
  • Dynamaxing can be turned on or off from the bag menu
    • Use the Dynamax Band to enable or disable dynamaxing
      • While the band is turned on, you will be unable to use Z-Moves/Megas/Tera
      • While the band is turned off, you will be unable to use Dynamax

Overworld / Other

  • Pokeballs can be swapped by using them on a Pokémon from the bag menu
  • Gold Bottle Cap can be exchanged for shiny Pokémon at Pokémon Shops
  • Pokémon can be nicknamed from the Party Menu
  • Party slots can be swapped with Select
  • Move Relearner can teach pre-evolution moves
  • Move Relearner (basic) added to Party Menu
  • PC Accessible from PokeNav (Condition->Access PC)
  • Two-In-One-Bike (Swap moves using Right Bumper)

Battle Frontier

  • NPCs can be found in all battle facilities for changing battle bgm
  • Pokémon above or below level 50 will be scaled to level 50
    • This means over-levelled Pokémon can now compete in level 50 battles
  • Open Level ruleset has also been scaled down to level 50
    • However, restricted Pokémon (i.e. Groudon, Kyogre, etc.) are now allowed
