Pokemon Emerald Rush ROM

Pokemon Emerald Rush is a ROM Hack inspired by the recent “Nuzlocke Invitational” event held by Pointcrow and pChal. It incorporates a built-in randomizer and many QoL changes to create a roguelike experience. The ROM is designed to be played as a Nuzlocke, but it’s completely optional.

Features

• Pokemon, moves and abilities from gens 1 to 9
• Gen 9 battle mechanics (inc. physical/special split and fairy type)
• Randomization (see details in section below)
• Level caps. Instant level to cap from party and PC
• Streamlined story (see documentation)
• HM moves can be used in the field without a pokemon in the party knowing that move
• Infinite Repel and Porta Heal key items
• Fly to any visited location straight from the start menu
• Simplified evolutions
• Lead pokemon follows you in the field
• EVs are not earned in battles, but can be raised with vitamins and feathers.

Randomization

• All pokemon and their moves and abilities have been randomized
• Pokemon keep their abilities when evolving
• All pokemon learn moves at the same levels
• Almost every item found or received has been randomized (with the exception of some key items)
• Berry bushes are replaced with random items
• Certain pokemon, moves, abilities and items removed from the randomization pool

Streamlined story

• All Team Aqua and Team Magma content removed, with the exception of the Mossdeep Space Centre
• Removed Route 116 and Rusturf Tunnel/Peeko rescue
• Removed Route 117 and Verdanturf Town
• Removed Mt. Chimney, Fiery Path, Route 113, Route 114, Fallabor Town, Meteor Falls and Jagged Pass
• Remove access to the top of Mt Pyre and higher indoor levels
• Removed the entire Sootopolis City story
• Some other routes have been made inaccessible to limit encounters (Routes 107, 108 123, 125, 132, 133, 134 and Shoal Cave)
• Acro bike is not required for any items or encounters
