Pokemon Emerald Slide is a GBA ROM Hack by Team Aqua Leader Archie based on Pokemon Emerald. It was last updated on May 13, 2024.

Description

This is hopefully one of the dumbest romhacks you will ever lay your eyes on. In this hack, the entire overworld has been turned into an Ice Puzzle. The game is able to be beaten (a lot of overworld changes were required to make this happen, carpets and flowers are safe spots), but the path to the end is very different than a normal playthrough.

Features

• Running Shoes now make you Slide at Mach Bike Speed
• Indoor Staircases and Doors have no sliding on the tile right in front of the warp, even if it looks like you wouldn’t be able to stop, you can.
• Grass and Flowers and Carpets are generally safe spots as well with some exceptions for carpets.
• The starters have new typings, moves, and sprites.
• The Title Screen is updated as well as Player Sprites.
• The teleport option in the Start Menu is still there and works as usual. Taking you back to the last Heal Location.
• You do not need to teach Cut, Rocksmash, Strength, or Surf to your Pokemon to use them. You just need to receive the HM to use them in the field

• Various Improvements to Certain Towns to make more PokeMarts and areas available. Fixed weather triggers in Route 120 and a weird softlock with the rivals house

• You dont actually need Dive to Dive, you can do it whenever. No HMs are required for all 8 gyms now.

• A full in-game randomizer has been added courtesy of TheXaman’s randomizer/nuzlocke feature branch. It adds a pokemon randomizer, move, ability, evolution, etc randomizer. Most things except maps. Its really cool and TheXaman is the GOAT. Randomization is now fixed.

• Teleporting out is now is separate from the whiting out code, and whiting out takes money again (but teleporting doesn’t)

• Added more PokeCenters as possible locations

• Fixed problem with the Route 131 not working after Sky Pillar appears
