Description

Pokemon FireRed Boosted is a rom hack of Fire Red and mostly makes it harder with new moves, trainer teams, and Pokémon stats. I hope that if anyone checks it out that they enjoy it.

Features

  • The Physical/Special split has been added.
  • Rock-type Pokémon gain the 1.5x Special Defense boost from Sandstorm.
  • Some Pokemon have new base stats.
  • Some Pokemon have different types.
  • Some Pokemon have different abilities.
  • Rough Skin has been updated to deal 1/8 of a Pokemon’s max HP, like in Gen 4 and after.
  • Some gender ratios have been changed.
  • Some catch rates have been changed.
  • All Pokemon from the first 3 Gens are available in the game.
  • All wild Pokemon have a chance to hold an item.
  • Some Evolution methods have been changed.
  • Exp yields for most Pokemon have been increased to make grinding slightly easier.
  • Critical hit rate has been changed to match Gen 6, but it still does 2x damage.
  • Some moves have been changed.
  • Move descriptions now say if a move is special/physical/status, and mention effects of those moves and their percent chance of happening.
  • Some areas in the games have visual changes/additions to them.
  • Some items have been made cheaper and heal different amounts.
  • Trainers have been made more challenging.
  • Each area that hold trainers usually have 1 mini boss trainer. (These trainers have a full team of 6 Pokemon and have healing items.)
  • The Old, Good, and Super Rods locations have been changed.
  • Move Relearner is also in Saffron City as well as Two Island.
  • In-game trades have been changed.
  • 80x discs of each TM are hidden around the region. (So if you don’t want just 1, then search for them :D)
  • 2 trainers in the game have a high-level Marowak and Hypno as boss Pokémon. (I wasn’t able to change the static Pokémon, so this is the second-best thing)
