Pokemon Inverted Reality is a GBA Rom Hack by Wish776 based on Pokemon Fire Red in English. It is a reimagining of the Kanto region, this time Team Rocket is a competent threat and will do everything in their power to take over the Kanto region.

All the gyms have been swapped to different types, and most of the personalities of the gym leaders remain faithful to their original counterparts, just with a small twist. A lot of moves, Pokemon typings, and stats have been changed to make Pokemon more viable or give them interesting roles.

Description

Pokemon Inverted Reality is a Pokemon Rom hack based on generation 3. It is a reimagining of the Kanto region, this time Team Rocket is a competent threat and will do everything in their power to take over the Kanto region.   • This Hack has been designed to be difficult, gym leaders have competant moves, held items and Pokémon that synergize with their given type.
  • Set mode has been set to mandatory and cannot be turned off.
  • A lot of general balance changes to make ”bad” Pokemon a lot more viable, be it because of their abilities, learnt moves or stat changes.
  • EVs have been removed
  • Random trainers also have okay teams, its not too overbearing but they aren’t cannon fodder eather
  • Shops now sell berries and other important held items
  • (for now) the shops after the 3rd gym sell lucky eggs, to make grinding more bearable
  • Pokemon don’t obey when leveled too much past the gym leader’s ace
  • General quality of life changes, such as better movepool for most Pokemon and more items to find by exploration
