Pokemon Soulgold is based on an unofficial expansion port of Heart and Soul (This is not affiliated with the official Heart and Soul 2.0 version in any way)

  • Innates can now be freely enabled or disabled in all Battle Facilities similar to Battle Cafe, meaning Classic is the standard pool and Chaos is purely for allowing legendaries.

  • Goldenrod Underground herb shop sells IV-reducing herbs.
  • Added new ability: Acidic (Poison is super effective against Steel) and distributed it to several Pokémon.
  • Added follower sprites for the following ZA Megas: Clefable, Dragonite, Hawlucha, Raichu X, Y and Starmie. Others will still default to base form follower sprites until there are publicly available sprites for them.
  • Summary screen now displays friendship instead of the unused ribbon field. The button prompts for EV and IV pages are now clearer that they do not refer to current page.
  • Adjusted innates for Gen 8 starter mega forms.
  • Raichu and A-Raichu learn Zap Cannon at level 60.
  • Victory Road gate guard now guides player to correct place if they button mashed past the dialogue after gym 8.
  • Added Floria NPC from HGSS to give hints on how to proceed past Sudowoodo.
  • Added some flashback dialogue to Whirl Islands/Tin Tower if the player attempts to go there too early.

  • VS Seeker has been added; it allows resetting outside route trainers after walking enough steps. It is awarded in place of the old Radio key item after answering the Quiz in Goldenrod. Old saves can exchange their old Radio for the VS Seeker by talking to the receptionist on the first floor.
  • Ported the Radio visuals from HnS 2.0 to Pokégear to replace Jukebox. Buena’s Password show functionality has been moved here.
  • The emulator inaccuracy screen can be bypassed on Delta by pressing Start, but you aknowledge that you are playing on inaccurate emulator by doing so.
  • Increased Trainer battles exp yield to 1.1x.
  • Added Mud Shot and Earth Power to Typhlosion’s movepool.
  • Added several biting moves to Ursaluna.
  • Added Bisharp and Snorlax to Nameless Cavern in Kitakami Border.
  • Oricorio Sensu can be found in Lake of Rage Hidden Grotto.
  • Added weather-extending Rocks and Exp. Candy XL to Battle Tower exchange.
  • Title Defense round number is now displayed in Hall Of Fame Screen.
  • Fixed several small bugs such as Genesect Shiny palette, Mirror Herb egg move transfer, Urushifu form breeding, Kurt script during celebi event, Fairy Lock crashing in doubles etc.
  • Fixed typos.
  • Bumped Gen 1 legendary bird catch rates 3->6.
  • Added Moonblast to Togekiss learnset.
  • Added more moves to Meganium.
  • Fixed Azumarill missing Belly Drum and Aqua jet from egg move list.
  • Tried to fix a very rare party swapping glitch.
