Description

Pokémon Voyager also has quite a few custom battle mechanics, battle types, and Battle Frontier facilities. In order to polish the battle engine while still working on the storyline, the Pokémon Voyager team has created a separate Frontier Demo patch for players to exercise the battle engine and provide incremental feedback on its quality and mechanics without waiting for the storyline to stabilize.

Some additional battle mechanics improvements

  • Several custom moves/abilities/items/terrain/weather for a unique battle experience
  • Spread moves now damage all foes at once – credit to Alex/Pokeemerald expansion!
  • Non-move animations occur at same time as text is printed for faster battles and game-accurate stat change animations
  • Many more ability popup/item triggers have been added to enhance information provided in battles
  • A battle info screen has been added to help track the battle state
