Description

Touhoumon Lunatic – Merry Version replaces all 411 Pokemon present in the game with the various Touhou characters, where they are called “Boneka,” Indonesian for “doll”. In Touhoumon Lunatic – Merry Version, the cult classic Pokémon FireRed is subtly revamped into a brand new experience, making for a thrilling trip. In this game, you will experience unprecedented difficulty and unprecedented excitement.
 
The difficulty level of this particular iteration of the game is extremely (perhaps inappropriately) high. How did they manage to make it so difficult? Quite simply, by redesigning the dungeons, making the monsters stronger, and ensuring that the duelists do not shy away from spamming potions and other items in order to evoke in us, the simple players, feelings of resentment and frustration. As is always the case, overcoming this enormous challenge will require a significant investment of time in order to level up.
 
This game also brings about a change in the way Touhoumons are distributed. As a result, we are now able to capture the three starters, which are rare Touhoumons (such as Flanders, Suwako, Yuyuko, and Utsuho), in the zones at the beginning of the game, which is sufficient to compose your team quite quickly. This version also includes the ability to replace the game’s music with remixes of Touhou’s original tracks.

What is Touhoumon?

Have you heard of the bullet hell video game franchise Touhou Project? The one that has been on since the 1990s? The one with the wonderful music? It has a lot of characters, with several factions of people, spirits, ghosts, youkai, and gods… “How about we substitute the Pokemon in games with the Touhou characters?” someone pondered one day. and then BAM! Touhoumon was created. Noteworthy derivatives include Touhoumon Purple, Touhoumon Another World, Touhoumon Zoku Gensokyo Scenario, and Touhou Puppet Play Enhanced, among others.
