Description

Pokémon Ambrosia is a game with a focus on unique features, fun gameplay, and extensive additional and post-game content.

Story

  • The story is completely new and centers on an imminent invasion of Kanto due to a war with Hoenn.
  • New dialog for every NPC and event in the entire game
  • Three recurring rivals, one of which uses an exact copy of the player’s party including stats, items, nicknames, everything.

World

  • Many updated maps and numerous all new maps.
  • Random battle weather is assigned upon entering an area, though some maps have fixed weather. 
  • A more open world design allowing the player to enter areas with trainers and Pokemon far stronger than they would be able to beat but with hidden powerful rewards.
  • Can travel north to Blackthorn and west to Olivine from the beginning of the game.
  • Can travel to Kanto as soon as reaching Goldenrod.

  • Gift mon no longer get corrupted upon being sent to the PC – the player no longer has to make room for them in the party
  • MonCheck function optimized, so no more significant lag upon entering Tin Tower

Easy Mode

  • Enemy Pokemon have reduced levels. The reduction depends of the original level
    • Pokemon up to level 40 are reduced by 2 levels
    • Pokemon between levels 41 and 90 are reduced by 5 levels
    • Pokemon over level 90 are reduced by 10 levels
  • Enemy Pokemon have less Stat Exp
    • enemies have 0 Stat Exp until beating Morty
    • then enemies have 4096 Stat Exp until getting 8 badges
    • then enemies max out at 16384 Stat Exp
  • Shift mode can be used in all battles
  • Items can be used in all battles, however, X items and revive items can’t be used in boss battles
  • All battles against the Self enemy will proceed even if the player loses
  • The following enemies ignore easy mode mechanics
    • Lord Oak
    • Dev battles in Celadon Mansion and Silver Manor
    • RAT GOD Joey

DexNav

  • Area Search option is on the Search page of the Pokedex
  • It displays all pokemon found in grass and water for the current location and time

V2.2.1

  • Pokemon now evolve during battle rather than at the end – this is more similar to the anime and should allow for some epic moments
  • The game now keeps track of how many times the player has lost and been sent back to the pokecenter
    • An NPC in New Bark Town informs the player of their current loss count
    • Once the loss count hits 5 a message will inform they player they have unlocked the Mr Mime cheat description for the Gift Of God item – this is essentially the games easy mode
  • Pokedex completion now carries over to New Game Plus
  • TMs and HMs now carry over to New Game Plus
  • The Jukebox now overrides the battle tracks permanently until reset to default – this doesn’t apply in RPG battles
  • The Battle Data screen which shows the enemy Pokemons moves now also shows the current PP of those moves, so you don’t have to keep track of it yourself
