Description

Pokémon Ambrosia is a game with a focus on unique features, fun gameplay, and extensive additional and post-game content.

Story

  • The story is completely new and centers on an imminent invasion of Kanto due to a war with Hoenn.
  • New dialog for every NPC and event in the entire game
  • Three recurring rivals, one of which uses an exact copy of the player’s party including stats, items, nicknames, everything.

World

  • Many updated maps and numerous all new maps.
  • Random battle weather is assigned upon entering an area, though some maps have fixed weather. 
  • A more open world design allowing the player to enter areas with trainers and Pokemon far stronger than they would be able to beat but with hidden powerful rewards.
  • Can travel north to Blackthorn and west to Olivine from the beginning of the game.
  • Can travel to Kanto as soon as reaching Goldenrod.

Battle Tower Updates

  • complete redesign, allowing for 100-300 enemy sets per challenge
  • option to scale your party to the challenge level
  • option to play using a random team (different from the enemy team) each round
  • tracking of current and longest streaks for both random and level scaled battles – records carry to new game plus

  • naming screens automatically change case after capital letters and spaces
  • eggs no longer become invisible when in the PC

Player Customisation

Player can now customise their character by selecting from

  • 20 different sprites (10 male, 10 female)
  • 10 different hair colours
  • 2 different skin colours

That’s 400 possible combinations. The player can change their look at the 2nd floor of any Pokecenter, or in their room at home. Note, the NPCs throughout the world have also been updated so there is greater variety in skin colour.

The following moves are added to the game

New Ability

The ability Adaptability, which increases STAB multiplier to x2, is given to the following Pokemon

  • Ratatta, Raticate
  • Meowth, Persian
  • Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath
  • Pinsir
  • Porygon, Porygon2, PorygonZ
  • Slowpoke, Slowbro
  • Eevee and all Eeveelutions

Other Changes

  • Updated NPCs in Ecruteak to give hints about random legendary Pokemon and TMs that the player hasn’t collected
  • Zygarde, Mewtwo and Arceus no longer treat all balls as Pokeballs, they now have a fixed 80% chance to break out of Master Balls
  • Mid-battle evolution no longer resets battle music in fights with specific music overrides
  • Whirlpools removed/reduced on Lake Tohjo/Jagged Pass maps
  • Passage from Lake Tohjo to Mt.Silver made more difficult via aggressive Pokemon
  • Fix issues with item and TM icon colours
  • Fix issue where some characters in a Players name could appear incorrectly when receiving items
  • Update dialog to allude that Blaine and Pryce are brothers

V2.6.2

  • Fixed bug where toxic on a benched Pokémon could revert to normal poison after an enemy Pokémon faints
  • Fixed bug where Safeguard would block the effect of Toxic Spikes on the wrong side of the field
  • Toxic now uses a deeper purple palette for its status icon, distinguishing it from normal poison
  • Fixed bug where the PC could lag depending on the map music playing
  • Fixed bug where Mudkip sprites on Route 32 would corrupt when coming from Cherrygrove Bay
  • Fixed bug where Dragon Fang would use Dragon Scale item icon
  • Reduced the darkness of the battle UI palette in dark areas so it isn’t as intrusive
  • Prof Oak will give Aerodactyl egg to players who have not beat Whitney, rather than Bugsy
