Description

Pokemon Peak Kanto aims to be THE peak way to experience the Kanto region and its Pokemon. “Think Kanto Expansion Pak meets Radical Red.

Features

  • Added 50+ ‘SEVIIAN’ FORMS to encounter. (Based on existing forms, no Fakemons).

  • Complete ENCOUNTER OVERHAUL. Almost ALL POKEMON AVAILABLE by the time you reach Fuschia. (Done to increase the variety of team building options and improve the viability of certain Pokémon by placing them earlier in the game).

  • Complete LEARNSET OVERHAULS. (Focused on making all Pokémon viable and with their own niches).

  • Significant MOVE STATS UPDATES. (Focused on balancing to make most moves useful at the point they are learned).

  • Completely REVAMPED GYM LEADER & BOSS TEAMS. (Focused on creating more engaging and challenging fights that feel like an accomplishment to overcome. Inspired by mainline games, Stadium, TCG sets and the anime).

  • Minor MAP CHANGES such as a cut tree in Pallet Town and route back from Mt. Moon to Pewter. (Mostly edited for convenience or to change the availability of Pokémon, eg. getting Tangela earlier).

  • Removed generalised level scaling – now only used for gym leader battles.
  • Fixed Farigiraf not learning any TMs.
  • Modified the movesets of the Tyrogue line, primarily to remove Rock Smash.
  • Hopefully fixed bug where all gym badges are shown as being acquired on the trainer card.
  • Removed the move Happy Hour from the game as it was causing glitches.
  • Fixed gender ratios on several Pokémon.
  • Added Unaware to Slowking to match changes made to Slowpoke/Bro.

  • Fixed Nidoran and Fragneton egg groups to match pokedex entries.
  • Fixed level scaling turning off after whiting out.
  • Revised gym leader teams to work better with the scaled badge system. They now have better movesets and hold more items.
  • Revised E4 battles.
  • Revised most boss battles in the game.
  • Gave Staryu/Starmie Color Change as HA (instead of Analytic).
  • Reduced time to hatch eggs further (now 1/4).
  • Updated Aerodactyl’s moveset to include Double-Edge and Head Smash.
  • Added the Genesect Porygon drives to the overworld in Silph Co.
  • Updated Sing/Grasswhistle to have 60 accuracy.
  • Transform given +1 priority.
  • Ditto given Illusion ability.
  • Mime Jr. given Prankster ability instead of Technician.
  • Reverted Poison Touch back to Poison Point for Beedrill.
  • Gave Exeggcute Shell Armor and Overgrow and both Exeggutor Overgrow.
  • Added a few moves to the learnsets of Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff and Vigglypire.
  • Tried something to fix the bug where you get stuck entering Lorelei’s chamber after whiting out to the E4.
  • Implemented variable TMs as rewards from gym leaders depending on the order you face them in.
  • Gave Galarian Meowth/Perrserker Howl by levelup instead of Hone Claws.
  • Replaced Autotomize with Iron Defense on Scizor’s learnset.
  • Improved Mew’s catch rate.

  • Activated automatic level scaling for all trainers to match the highest Pokémon in your party.
  • Removed badge requirements to use HMs outside battle.
  • ‘Lapras guy’ in Silph Co. now gives HM03 Surf.
  • President in Silph Co. now gives the Dubious Disc.
  • HM03 is no longer the reward for navigating to the end of the Safari Zone.
  • Added an NPC to block the player from using Rock Tunnel until they have at least 1 badge.
  • Made it so that you must have dealt with Team Rocket in the Pokémon Tower AND have acquired any 3 badges before you can access Silph Co (and by extension, Surf, Cinnabar, Sevii Isles 1-3 and a Berserk Gene).
  • Added a findable Leek item to the game.
  • Yanmega can now learn Fly by HM.
  • Created a prompt on starting the game to turn on the ‘seen all’ cheat.
  • Moves the Super Rod guy to Cinnabar to help prevent the likelihood of someone soft-locking themselves on the island.
  • Removed redundant text about HMs and obedience from gym leader scripts.
  • Hopefully addressed the confusion surrounding uncatchable Snorlax/Berserk Forms.
  • Locked the Coin Case behind having 4 or more badges.
  • Removed badge boost from the game.
  • Reverted Mega Beedrill to Bug/Poison typing and changed its ability from Adaptability to Merciless.
  • Added custom Berserk Forms for Noctowl, Ledian and Dewgong (credit to Kroizer21) whilst updating the post-game teams for Falkner, Bugsy and Pryce.
  • Increased the rate of encounters in the top levels of Diglett’s Cave.
  • Added egg moves for Paldean Wooper.
  • Added variable Poke Mart inventory based on which Kanto and Johto gym leaders you have defeated.
  • Great and Ultra Balls can now only be purchased from Celadon Dept. Store and only after owning 50 and 100 Pokémon, respectively.
