Description

Pokemon Molten Gold is a romhack of Pokémon Gold that is currently in development. Similar to Righteous Red before it, the main goal is to balance the cast of Pokémon and provide a variety of bug fixes and QoL improvements to the original game. Much like in the previous game, your adventure takes a different route, with Clair being featured as the first Gym Leader in Blackthorn after you get your Pokedex!

Features

• Every Single Pokemon has been altered in some way or fashion to make them more all viable in a casual or nuzlocke playthrough! This may include changed typings, improved movepools or adjusted stats.
• New Moves and Adjusted TMs; alongside the adjusted Pokémon, you will also find that some moves have been either added in or changed in their original design, this will promote a larger variety of movesets that each Pokémon can take advantage of.
• Righteous Red added in future evolutions, but Molten Gold goes in a different direction– adding in Baby Pokémon from the original Beta. Future Evolutions of Generation 2 Pokemon will eventually be added in. (Things like Farigaraf, Gliscor etc)
• New Held Items from later gens also make their debut, one example being the Eviolite. These items will appear both for you and your adversaries to take advantage of!
• New Areas to explore and More Pokémon to catch! Every Pokemon from Gen 2 will be available and able to be evolved without the need to trade. These Pokemon may be encountered in completely new areas that are exclusive to Molten Gold! Dark Forests….Expansive Deserts… you never know!
• Built in Level Cap system that flows with your journey, not the number of badges you own.
• A large variety of QoL options including Running Shoes, an in-bag PC, Toggle Repel via “options”, instant Party Heal “Med Box” and infinite candies via the “Candy Jar”, your journey won’t always be easy, but it will never feel tedious!
• An “About Menu” that provides complete information about all of the changes implemented. It also includes credits to the people who contributed to the project!

• Aide now hands out Togepi directly instead of an Egg, this is temporary for the demo
• Saves are now much faster
• Med Box no longer includes dialogue, and thus, is faster
• Trainers and Wild Pokémon now display if they’re holding an item
• Battle Hud has been updated visually
• Text can now be autoscrolled by holding down A or B
• You can now find encounters in cities/towns via Headbutt
• Kris makes her debut as a secondary rival!
