Description

Pokemon TCG Generations is a ROM Hack of the original Pokemon Trading Card Game, where the cards, attacks, attributes, resistances, weaknesses, and various effects have been extensively altered and expanded. This ROM Hack introduces Pokemon from nearly all generations of the franchise, offering a fresh and exciting take on the traditional card game experience.

Features

  • All Cards have been replaced by Pokemon from other Generations, with Some Exceptions (Eevee, Ditto, Horsea, and Seadra to name a few, this is due to the effects of the Cards or are related to Pokemon introduced after those.)
  • All the Pokemon Sprites were Replaced with Sprites made by me, Obviously Following the “Style” of the game.
  • All Attacks have been changed in some way, either by name or by Effect. Cards, in general, are not intended to resemble their real-life counterparts but rather attempt to be their own thing. (Also, what you can do with Attacks is quite limiting sometimes).
  • Absolutely all the Cards in the Game can be obtained through the 4 booster packs and there is even a clear way to know which Booster each card is in.

Known Bugs/Glitches

  • Apart from some Bugs from the Original Game (Acid not working or Pokemon Trader being used incorrectly), the Only Glitch I’ve Seen is a Visual Glitch Where the Cursor Disappears Exactly in the Middle of the Deck Builder Screen, and in Duels it is visually inverted when you check the Opponent’s cards. They are only Visual Glitches and do not affect the Gameplay itself, it may confuse a little but it works

Changelog

V1.6.1

Important Changes

  • A mode that I added in the last Update but never really talked about it, is a mode in which you can only use 1 copy of each card, kind of like the Gym Leader Challenge.
  • Now all Club Masters will give you a card as a reward the first time you beat them:

Minor Changes

  • Almost all NPC Decks have been modified to be a bit more competent, so expect the game to be a little bit more challenging.
  • Now the AI should use some attacks more often.
  • Now all the Challenge Cup Prizes have been exchanged for “rare” cards.
  • Now all the Pokémon have their corresponding categories.
  • New “tittle screen” text.
  • New Text showing the current version.

Bug Fixes

  • NOW Finally the AI Will use “Energy Boost” as intended.
  • Fixed AI not using “FETCH” with Wingull.
  • Fixed the PC Card Album card amount and Text glitch (Thanks Shaoden).
  • Fixed “FLAREBLITZ” bug (You still needed to have 1 fire energy to use this attack).
  • Fixed Ditto’s “MORPH” transforming the user into a copy of Ditto (Thanks Shaoden).
  • Fixed Ishihara Trades.

New Sprites

  • Pokemon: Volbeat, Illumise, Stantler, Hawlucha, Pincurchin
  • Trainers: Pokémon Center, Pokémon Trader, Full Heal

V1.6

Important Changes

  • Now you can choose to play with Mark or Mint just like in the sequel!
  • Now all Duelists in the Game have the Sequel Sprites (Many have minimal changes)
  • Now Entei, Raikou, Suicune and Lugia are no longer found in Laboratory Packs, Now they are only obtainable through the Grand Masters. (I did this mainly to prevent these “Op” cards from being used prematurely.)
  • Now Effects like U-Turn or Volt Switch are Optional, you can cancel them by simply pressing B. And you don’t need to have pokemon on the bench to use them. (This Change does not apply in Dunsparce, simply because Down Draw would be a very op Attack.
  • The AI should act a little faster

Minor Changes

  • Milling effects now as a Glow Animation.
  • Kabutops Kingdra are now called Delta Kabutops and Delta Kingdra, This is simply to clear up any confusion.
  • Some minor changes to the attack descriptions of Water Pokemon

Bug Fixes

  • Some spelling errors
  • Now the AI can use U-Turn-like attacks.
  • Decidueye “Hunting Arrow” now works properly

Rarity Changes

  • Abomasnow is now a Super-Rare (instead of a rare)
  • Houndoom is now a Rare (instead of Super-Rare)
  • Omastar is now a Super-Rare (instead of rare)
  • Toxtricity High and Low are now Rare (instead of Super-Rare)
  • Cufant is now a Common (instead of rare)
  • Honchkrow is now a Super-Rare (instead of rare)
  • Spiritomb is now a Rare (instead of Supe-Rare)
  • Mimikyu is now a Rare (instead of Supe-Rare)
